Our company specializes in producing pultrusion profiles of various shapes, participates in Compiling”Technical Specifications for Composite Pultrusion Profile Structure” (T/CECS 692-2020), and provides profile design and calculation services to meet different needs of Customers.



The following is an introduction to pultruded profiles:

Definition and Principle

Pultruded profiles are composite products manufactured based on the pultrusion process. The principle is that continuous fibers (such as glass fibers, carbon fibers, etc.) pass through a resin impregnation tank to fully immerse the fibers with resin. Then, they go through a shaping die. Inside the die, the fibers are heated and cured, and at the same time, a pulling device pulls the profiles out of the die at a certain speed, thus obtaining continuous profiles with a fixed cross-sectional shape and size.


Material Composition

Reinforcing Fibers: They are the main load-bearing part of pultruded profiles, endowing the profiles with high strength and good mechanical properties. Commonly used ones are glass fibers, including E-glass fibers, C-glass fibers, etc., which have the characteristics of low cost and high strength. Carbon fibers have higher strength and modulus and are lightweight, but they are more expensive.

Matrix Resins: They play a role in bonding the fibers, transmitting loads, and endowing the profiles with good corrosion resistance, electrical insulation, etc. Common ones include unsaturated polyester resins, epoxy resins, and vinyl ester resins. Unsaturated polyester resins are inexpensive and have good processability. Epoxy resins have excellent bonding strength and corrosion resistance. Vinyl ester resins combine the advantages of unsaturated polyester resins and epoxy resins, featuring good corrosion resistance and mechanical properties.


Product Characteristics

High Strength: The reinforcing fibers give them high tensile strength, bending strength, and impact strength, and they can replace traditional metal materials for some load-bearing structural components.

Corrosion Resistance: The combination of the matrix resin and fibers makes them have good tolerance to chemical media such as acids, alkalis, and salts, and they are suitable for harsh corrosive environments, such as in the chemical industry and marine engineering fields.

High Dimensional Accuracy: The pultrusion process controls the cross-sectional shape and size of the profiles through the die, ensuring high dimensional accuracy and surface quality.

Strong Designability: According to different usage requirements, by selecting different fiber types, contents, lay-up methods, and matrix resin systems, various mechanical, physical, and chemical performance requirements can be met.

Application Fields

Construction Industry: They are used to manufacture door and window profiles, stair handrails, scaffolding, roof beams, etc., and have the advantages of light weight, high strength, corrosion resistance, and maintenance-free.

Transportation Field: They can be used to make automotive body parts, interior parts of high-speed train carriages, yacht hulls and decks, etc., which helps to reduce the weight of vehicles and ships and improve fuel efficiency and operating performance.

Electrical Field: As insulating materials, they are used to manufacture utility poles, cable trays, insulating components of electrical switchgear, etc., and have good electrical insulation performance and mechanical properties.

Energy Field: In wind power generation, they are used to manufacture the main beams of blades, the support structures of nacelles, etc.; in the solar energy field, they can be used to make the brackets of solar panels, etc.
