Structural Features
Jack nuts are usually made of metal and have a rectangular or circular shape. They have internal threads for matching with bolts. On the outside of the nut, there are elastic claws or flanges. These claws or flanges allow the nut to be easily embedded into the prefabricated hole of the connected part, and are fixed in the hole through the elastic clamping force or the limiting effect of the flanges, without the need for additional fixing measures.
Working Principle
First, install the jack nut into the corresponding mounting hole of the connected part. Utilize the clamping force generated by the elastic deformation of the claws or flanges to firmly fix it in the hole. Then, align the parts to be connected, pass the bolt through these parts, and screw it into the already installed jack nut. By tightening the bolt, the fastening connection between the parts is achieved.
Materials and Surface Treatments
Commonly used materials include carbon steel, stainless steel, etc. Jack nuts made of carbon steel have high strength and good economic efficiency, and are suitable for connections in general environments. Those made of stainless steel have excellent corrosion resistance and are often used in harsh environments such as wet conditions or those with corrosive gases. In order to improve the wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and aesthetics of the nuts, surface treatments such as galvanizing and nickel plating are usually carried out.

It is widely applied in industries such as automotive manufacturing, electronic equipment, mechanical equipment, and furniture. In automotive manufacturing, it is often used for the installation of interior parts of the vehicle body, instrument panels, and other components. Advantages
It is convenient to install. There is no need to perform complex tapping operations on the connected parts, which can greatly improve the installation efficiency. It has good floating performance and can compensate for the positional deviation of the mounting holes of the connected parts to a certain extent, making it easier for the bolts to align with the threaded holes of the nuts. It is easy to disassemble, and will not damage the mounting holes of the connected parts, which is convenient for the maintenance of the equipment and the replacement of parts.
Disadvantages
Compared with some welded nuts, the tensile force and torque it can bear are relatively limited, and it is not suitable for connection parts that need to bear extremely large loads. It has relatively high requirements for the dimensional accuracy of the mounting holes. If the size of the mounting hole is too large or too small, it will affect the installation and use effect of the jack nut.
